The 5th World Frequencies of October, 2004

Two rare planetary alignments will grace the sky in October 2004. The alignments are drawing wide interest, for they may serve as crucial nodes in the web of time-energy being woven toward the date of December 21, 2012.

The 2012 date is said by followers of Mayan and other native cosmologies to mark the end of a 25-year epoch of transition, and the beginning of the World of the Fifth Sun.

The planetary alignments of October, 2004 come in the middle of this long epoch of transition. On October 1 and then later on October 28 the planets (Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus) will arrange themselves into a pattern approximating a 5-pointed star. These pentagonal planetary patterns, known to astrologers as Grand Quintiles, signify two linked opportunities to attune to the Fifth Harmonic, and thereby, I feel, to attune to the emerging frequencies of the World of the Fifth Sun.

The Grand Quintiles of October, 2004 were brought to my attention through the research of Jill Whitman, and her collaborator, Ed Gillian. Their website is referenced and linked at the end of this article.

On their website they note that a Grand Quintile is a closed symmetrical energy pattern. "GQs are essentially a study in the number 5," Whitman writes. "Composed of five planets placed at approximately equal distances from each other in a linked circle, they are the next step up in complexity from grand crosses in major aspect patterns..."

"Without digressing into other disciplines," she writes, "one may safely state that the consensual view of esotericists down the ages is that the number four represents the cross of matter, the concrete world of daily life. Five is considered the next step up in consciousness, in awareness, and therefore in possibility."

Whitman notes that the second Grand Quintile on Oct. 28 is of particular interest, for it forms within hours of an important Solar Eclipse, and just days before the US Presidential election.

Astrologers consider the Quintile (72 degrees) to be an angle that can help energy to flow in a smooth, problem-solving way, and to be related to the processes of life/death and creation/destruction.

In her book "Quintiles and Tredeciles: The Geometry of the Goddess," author Dusty Bunker notes that the Quintile aspect of 72 degrees is a key part of the Pythagorean Theorem, and that it symbolizes the activation of Spirit Light.

The late astrologer Marc Edmund Jones observed that through the Quintile, one had the opportunity to collaborate with spiritual forces.

While the Quintile itself is a common astrological aspect, it is rare for five of the planets to be grouped so that they are each quintile to each other -- a Grand Quintile, ratcheting the quality of five up to the fifth power.

Just gazing at an image of a five-pointed star or a pentagon, or visualizing one, brings the energy awake.

A Colossal Convergence

The Fifth Harmonic Quintile patterns of October, 2004 appear in the context of a steadily emerging body of information about the Fifth World, based on studies of the ancient calendars of the Americas.

Two years ago I interviewed Carlos Barrios of Guatemala. We discussed the viewpoints on the Fifth World held by traditional Mayan elders who are the spiritual keepers of the calendars.

"From 1987 until now," Mr. Barrios related, "we have been in a time when the right arm of the materialistic world is disappearing, slowly but inexorably. We are no longer in the World of the Fourth Sun, but we are not yet in the World of the Fifth Sun. This is the time in-between, the time of transition."

As we pass through the transition there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, war, and ongoing Earth changes. All this, Mr. Barrios told me, was foreseen via the simple, spiral mathematics of the Mayan calendars.

Mr. Barrios said Mayan Daykeepers in Guatemala view the Dec. 21, 2012 date as a birth, the start of the World of the Fifth Sun. If the people of the earth can get to this 2012 date in good shape, without having destroyed too much of the Earth, Mr. Barrios said, we will rise to a new, higher level. But to get there we must transform enormously powerful forces that seek to block the way.

The dark power of the declining Fourth World cannot be destroyed or overpowered. It’s too strong and clear for that, and those are the wrong strategies. The dark can only be transformed when confronted with simplicity and open-heartedness. This is what leads to fusion, a key concept for the World of the Fifth Sun, and a manifestation of the Fifth Harmonic.

"There can be a fusion of polarities," Mr. Barrios told me. "No more darkness or light in the people, but an uplifted fusion. Right now the realm of darkness is not interested in this. They are organized to block it. They seek to unbalance the Earth and its environment so we will be unready for the alignment in 2012. We need to work together for peace, and balance with the other side. We need to take care of the Earth that feeds and shelters us. We need to put our entire mind and heart into pursuing unity and fusion now, to confront the other side and preserve life."

As economic, political, military and meteorological forces swirl chaotically this Autumn, the Planets will twice arrange themselves into patterns based on the number five -- the next step up in consciousness, awareness, possibility.

The two linked Grand Quintiles of October 2004 are worthy of note as celestial overtones for all that will unfold in the coming weeks.

MIRACLE, A SYMBOL OF PEACE, PASSES AWAY

Miracle is gone. Miracle the white buffalo, a symbol of peace, died at 11:07 p.m. Sunday on the Dave and Valerie Heider farm in Janesville, Wisconsin.

"She became sick on Friday," Dave Heider said. "She was off her feed and became lethargic." The vet was with Miracle for much of last weekend but couldn't save her. "We don't believe she was suffering," Heider said Friday afternoon. "It looked like she was resting peacefully."
