Reiki Master Steven McFadden

Reiki, pronounced "ray key," is a technique for healing by the laying-on of hands. Reiki has an established track record of reducing stress, relieving pain, and supporting the healing process for a wide range of problems.

A Reiki practitioner's hands are placed on the recipient's fully clothed body in specific, non-invasive patterns, allowing universal life energy (Reiki) to flow. Reiki works to replenish body energies, and helps to restore mental clarity and focus.

Practiced widely in America for over 25 years, Reiki has earned a solid reputation as an effective complementary health practice.

I have been a Reiki practitioner since the late 1970s, and a Reiki Master teacher since 1990 through the auspices of Rosemary Cathcart in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the year 2000 I became re-aquainted with my original teacher, John Harvey Gray, and I had the opportunity to help out editorially as John and his wife, Lourdes Gray, Ph.D. produced their new book about Reiki, Hand to Hand: The Longest-Practicing Reiki Master Tells His Story, Through John and Lourdes I learned yet more about Reiki. They added to my training and certification as a Reiki Master teacher in August of 2000.

Over the years it has been my honor to teach Reiki to many hundreds of students in North and Central America. I look forward to meeting new students, and welcome your inquiry.

Class and lecture schedule

Please inquire about Contact Hours for continuing education for nurses, massage therapists, and bodyworkers. Anyone -- from children to elders -- can learn, benefit from, and use Reiki. Nurses and liscensed bodyworkers also have an opportunity to develop their healing skills, and earn credit toward maintaining their professional status

The American Holistic Nurses Association) NA Education Approver Committee has approved Steven McFadden's Reiki I and Reiki II training for 15 nursing contact hours.

Reiki Healing Sessions with Steven McFadden

By appointment, Steven McFadden is available to offer Reiki healing sessions in the general area of Santa Fe, NM, or the treatments may be administered remotely.

A single Reiki session takes place over about 90 minutes. The cost is $80 US. To schedule a session send an e-mail to Steven. You may pay for the sessions by sending a check made out to my name to my Post Office box, or by using a credit card via Pay Pal:

A series of four Reiki session on four different days is the recommended pathway for dealing with health crises and chronic conditions. If the condition took some time to become established, it takes some time to heal. The cost for four sessions is $300 US. To schedule a series of four Reiki treatments on four different days, send an email to Steven. John Harvey Gray has been a Reiki Master Instructor since 1976. He has actively taught and practiced Reiki longer than any other living teacher in the West. John took his entire Reiki training with Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to the West from Japan. He has conducted well over 600 Reiki classes, and earned a reputation as an outstanding teacher, and as a practitioner of the highest integrity.

John's wife, Lourdes Gray, is also a Reiki Master Instructor certified by John from Hawayo Takata. To their collaborative teaching and healing, Lourdes brings many years of experience. She has used Reiki to treat degenerative diseases (including arthritis, cancer, HIV/AIDS) as well as to treat emotional problems.

In their book, Hand to Hand, John Harvey Gray and Lourdes Grays tell theirstories. The also tell the background and development of Reiki in the West, and offer up practical and time-tested guidelines for anyone who chooses to study or learn about Reiki.
